Land Stewardship

Baseline Reports

When a conservation easement is established, the easement holder needs to have a baseline report on the Property. A baseline report documents the current physical condition of the Property, establishing a baseline and serving as a reference point for all future land stewardship activities on the Property. The report describes conditions related to the Conservation Values, purposes, rights and prohibited uses of a Property as specified in the Deed of Conservation Easement.

I have been crafting quality baseline reports for the Francestown Land Trust since 2019 and am available to help you complete this step in the conservation process.

Easement Monitoring

As a volunteer and a paid employee, I have monitored hundreds of properties with conservation easements across New Hampshire. Easement monitoring helps landowners and easement holders ensure their conservation objectives are being met under current management practices. Regular communication with landowners also helps maintain good relationships and minimize land use issues.
